At the Child First Advocacy Center (CFAC), our mission is clear: to protect and support children and families affected by abuse and trauma. Located in the heart of Rutland County, CFAC brings together a compassionate team of professionals dedicated to providing a safe space for children to share their stories and begin the journey toward healing.
When a child experiences abuse or neglect, the path forward can be overwhelming. CFAC exists to ease that burden. We coordinate a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) made up of law enforcement, child protection, prosecutors, medical professionals, mental health providers, and victim advocates—all working together in one location to ensure a child-focused, trauma-informed response.
What makes CFAC unique is our holistic, coordinated approach. We don't just respond to abuse; we walk alongside families every step of the way. From forensic interviews to advocacy, safety planning, and referrals for therapy and medical care, we provide comprehensive support with compassion, confidentiality, and respect.
CFAC is also committed to prevention and education. Through outreach programs, trainings, and community partnerships, we work to raise awareness about child abuse and empower others to take action.
But we can’t do this alone.
As a nonprofit organization, CFAC relies on community support to sustain our vital services. Operational funding helps keep our doors open, our team strong, and our response swift. Every donation helps ensure that no child has to navigate trauma alone.
We believe that every child deserves to be heard, protected, and supported. And with your help, we’re making that a reality—one family at a time.
Together, we are building a safer, stronger community.
